Here we would lkie to share tormented demon guide with our Runescape lovers. This guide will show us the best methods to solo td's. It is as following:

To be able to fight tormented demons you must have completed the quest "While Guthix Sleeps". The quest is of master difficulty and it is extremely long.

Name : Tormented Demon
Combat Level : 450
Max Hit : 26
Extra Info : They are weak to "Darklight", the same as all other demons. They use protection prayers and change after you hit a certain amount with amount of damage.

The minimum stats for a solo are :

70 Attack
70 Strength
70 Defence
70 Range
75 Hitpoints
43 Prayer

Having a decent magic level will help you take less damage from the magic attack if you miss a prayer switch.

The gear for a solo should be (Best to Worst) :

Helm : Veracs helm - Helm of Neitzinotz
Torso : Karils Leathertop - Black D'hide - Lesser *'hide
Legs : Veracs Plateskirt - Dragon Plateskirt - Rune Skirt
Boots : Dragon Boots - Climbing Boots
Gloves : "Barrows" RFD gloves - Lesser RFD gloves
Cape : Fire Cape - Skillcape (T) - Skillcape
Ring : Berserker Ring - Archers ring - Ring of Wealth - Life
Bolts : Ruby (e) - Diamond (e) - Broad Bolts

You will need at least two attack styles to succesfully solo the demons. The most used (and best) combination is range and melee. The range weapon I would reccomend is a Rune Crossbow, as it is cheap and deals out some good damage. The other option is a crystal bow although i would not reccomend it unless you can re-charge it for the lowest price.

The melee weapon i would reccomend is a Dragon Halberb, as it has a good special, capeable of hitting double 30's, and it can be used from a safespot which would save you alot of prayer points. A godsword also works. If you are using a godsword i would take a Saradomin one as the spec really helps with the extra prayer and HP.

Some people also take an Armadyl Godsword for the special, but remeber you will only get 1-2 specs per demon. you have to think is it worth it?

Summoning.

Summoning is a very useful thing to have at Tormented Demons. It allows you to heal, carry more food/pots, Or a combination of the two!

The best familiar for tormented demons is the Unicorn Stallion(88 Summoning Required) , as the scroll heals a fair amount of HP. The next best thing would be a Titan (79 summoning required). The scroll boosts Defence like a super defence pot and gives you some hp.

If the titan is also un-available to you, i would take a beast of burden. Obviously take a war tortoise if you can but a terrorbird does the job.

Another option is to take a Titan or fruitbat along with a Tortoise. Leaving Lumbridge Cellar with a tortoise Summoned.

I do not take a super set and ranging potion, but if you do, replace 4 sharks with them.

Your inventory will not change considerably if you use summoning.

I do not take a super set and ranging potion, but if you do, replace 4 sharks with them.

Tortoise Inventory

1 Tortoise Pouch
1 Summoning Potion (4)
2 Prayer Potions (4)

The extra pouch and summoning pot are incase you dont use your whole tortoise before its timer runs out, the summoning pot is to make it so you can summon the second Tort or Titan/Fruitbat.

Equip your gear at Lumbridge cellar bank and summon your Tortoise/Unicorn and fill your tortoise if you are using it.
Follow the same route you went through in WGS to get the the stone of Jas area. When you are in the tunnel on the way there, get full energy and prepare to put on protect from magic prayer.

The Lure

This is very hard to explain using words, so look it up if you cannot understand.

We will be using the West spot which is just south of the enterence. they is a rock which has a corner cut of, this is where you will be killing the TD from. To the south of you is another rock which is just in the shape of a pillar, you must run to the south of this to begin the lure (make sure a TD is following you). When the td is against the rock, run back to the rock with the corner off, and take 2 steps to the north while hugging the rock.

Now you can stand on the "chopped of corner" to range/Hally your foe. When you have ranged it enough to make it change to melee prayer, put out your darklight and hit it with that. When succesful you will get a message in your text box saying something like "The demon is temporarily weakend to your weapon". You can then pull out your GS, or go back to the safespot and hally it. Please note it is only a safespot when the demon attempts to use its melee attack, at which point if you are on that spot, you make take off prayer. Change weapons when the demon changes prayer.

E.G : Demons praying melee, use range.

ALWAYS PRAY PROTECT ITEM.

There is a Spawn just to the east of your spot, which is the demon you should try to lure.

If it any point you have 2 or more demons constantly attacking you, try to get to log out, or teleport. Logging out makes the demon wander off. when you log out keep logged out for 5-10 seconds.

Eat when you are Below 60 HP and Take a sip of Prayer Potion when you are around 20 prayer.

When you have used up all you food in your tortoise, summon your titan/fruitbat and begin to use the scrolls. this can gain you an extra 10-20 kills per trip.

The Demons Attacks.

When the demon nods his head back slightly, he is using his magic attack. It resembles the spell fire bolt.

When the demon pulls his hand across his body and then points towards you, he is using his range attack. It resembles the revenants icy dart attack.

The demons melee attack is when he lunges at you. He will only do this is you are stood right next to him. It is the weakest of his attacks.
